What the transfer includes

The £10 Gatwick forecourt charge

From January 2026 Gatwick charges £10 for ten minutes on the terminal forecourt — the highest drop-off fee in the UK. It is included in your fare, along with parking, tolls and fuel. Nothing is added on the day.

Flight tracking

Your flight is monitored in real time. If you land early or late, the pickup time moves with it at no extra charge.

60 minutes free waiting on arrivals

Waiting time starts when the aircraft lands, not at the scheduled time. An hour is included as standard, which covers immigration and baggage on all but the worst days. Beyond that, waiting is charged in 15-minute blocks at £30 per hour for the saloon and £50 per hour for the MPV.

Meet and greet at both terminals

North and South are covered at the same fare. You are met inside the terminal at the exit from baggage reclaim, with assistance to the vehicle. After a long flight and a two-and-a-half-hour drive west, being found rather than searching matters.

A vetted chauffeur

Every driver is licensed, DBS-checked and briefed on your booking before setting off, and you are told the driver's name before the day. This is not a taxi app dispatching the closest available car.

Journey time from Bath to Gatwick

The route joins the M4 at junction 18, runs east to the M25, then south around the western side of the M25 to junction 7 and down the M23 to junction 9. Roughly 125 miles. Allow 2 hours 30 minutes in clear conditions and closer to 3 hours 15 for a weekday morning.

Gatwick is the harder of the two London airports to time from the West Country, and the reason is the M25. The stretch between junctions 12 and 10 around Wisley can add forty minutes without warning, and it does so most reliably between 06:30 and 09:30. Heathrow sits before that stretch; Gatwick sits after it. That single difference is why a Gatwick pickup is set earlier than a Heathrow one for the same departure time.

Gatwick also runs a heavy early short-haul schedule, which works in your favour. A 06:00 departure means a pickup around 02:15, well clear of every bottleneck on the route. For a 10:00 departure the pickup lands around 05:45 — set deliberately before the M25 fills rather than into it. The service runs 24 hours, so pre-dawn collections are standard rather than exceptional.

Common questions

Is the price really fixed?

Yes. The fare is agreed in writing at the time of booking and does not change for traffic, delays, or time of day. The only variation would be a change you request, such as an added stop.

Why is Gatwick more than Heathrow?

It is roughly thirty miles further each way, it crosses the slowest quadrant of the M25, and the airport's own forecourt charge is higher. The fare reflects the journey, not the destination's postcode.

Is this cheaper than a taxi to Gatwick?

A metered taxi from Bath to Gatwick is not fixed — the figure moves with traffic and time of day, and on a route this exposed to the M25 that risk sits with you. Our fare is the fare, and it includes the forecourt charge, the flight tracking, the hour of arrivals waiting and the meet and greet.

What if my flight is delayed?

Flight tracking means the pickup adjusts automatically. There is no charge for a delay outside your control.

North Terminal or South Terminal?

Both, at the same fare. Tell us your flight number and the terminal is worked out for you — worth doing, because Gatwick moves some airlines between terminals at short notice.

Do you cover villages outside Bath?

Yes — Bathampton, Batheaston, Combe Down, Saltford, Bradford on Avon, Corsham and the surrounding area are all covered. Send the postcode and you will get an exact fare.

Can I book a return at the same time?

Yes, and most clients do. Both legs are confirmed together and the return is tracked against your inbound flight.

How do I pay?

Bank transfer or card. Business accounts can be invoiced.
